What's I <3 UNSW? Is it a club where you do stuff, or is it more of a declaration kind of group?

They're all shit.

Clubs are mostly a waste of time. And I say this as someone with 3 years of experience dealing with them.
If you join them for what they're designed for, then yeah, they are. But if you just join them to meet some new folk then they have their uses.

unsoc
kickboxing
debsoc

and hockey, if that counts
Oh God.
I joined them last year. Waste of time and money. They're all socialist pacifists. It's pathetic.
My advice to all of you is to steer clear of the ideology and religion clubs, because they're all a bunch of crazy radicals. Except AtheistSoc, which is really just NihilistSoc in disguise.

I was about to join AnimeSoc, but I got scared off when they said they have 600 members. I wanted to join something more.. otakuish

In the end the only thing im considering is the teochew club, because the president was really friendly.

Its a shame clubs don't get their own established rooms. If they did there might have been a woodworking club, which I definately would have joined and wasted all my time with.

This is basically what I have concluded after attending one day of O-week.

I feel left out of all these ethnicity-based clubs like Hellsoc, Indian Cultural Association, Indonesian Students Association, Thai Students Association, etc. I want to start an Anglo-Saxon Society.
"AngloSoc".
Oh! Or "SaxonSoc"!
