Getting a job based purely on economics is as hard as a scientist becoming employed. I would suggest you to take a bachelor of com/eco, so if you're unable to get your desired job you can shift towards commerce - which involves a bit of eco.

USYD because it is commonly referred to as the best uni in NSW

you end up withh the same degree but USYD is harder

Of course it is. But don't use it just by itself - I researched both Sydney and UNSW's programs and figured that UNSW was better for me.

It's a subjective thing you know - there's no one right answer for this. I'm saying from personal experience and going have done the research myself that UNSW's Commerce is better.

HSC 2012

UNSW is better known for bussiness/commerce than USYD.

But they're both good except for USYD it's harder to modify your timetable to get a 2/3 day week and have a part time job.

Go to both unis on open day/uni preference day, get all confused cause you'll realise they are both the same. And then the decision whether to put one a higher preference over the other depends on how well they market themselves that day.

I chose UNSW Commerce because I talked to this really awesome girl named Christine or something there - and she was doing Commerce. And I was like "omg, you obviously got an ATAR over 96 and you look AWESOME!" in my mind. I haven't seen her yet =(

i'm at unsw, mostly because i have 2 day time table and my mate at syd can't get less then 4.
