Hi

So I just got my estimated atar (from school), its inbetween 96-97

This is obviously too low for USyd or UNSW even with my 2 bonus points
I am wondering whether it is better to

  • Apply for direct entry to macquarie/ANU
  • Try and get into UTS (cutoff is so volatile tho dependent on what you combine it with)
  • Start in commerce or arts at UNSW and hope for a transfer
Can anyone with a similar experience help? ty

Probably transfer due to the over glut of law graduates prestige of the course really matters .

I'd apply to UNSW/USYD then attempt to maintain D/HD average in another course.
You could either
i) Go into a course which is relatively easy to maintain a HD/D credit point average
Or if you don't want to add any extra time to your degree
ii) Do a course which allows you to do units which you need to undertake for the law degree.

Good luck with your studies
