As in maths definitely is. What about the sciences or histories?

Science - hardly.

History, not very much (WW1 in Modern kind of continues on a bit though). For economics, year 11 is more theory whilst year 12 is more application, so there is some link.

Most not too much content-wise. It's only the analysis skills/question-styles that are the same. (and thus worth mastering in prelim)
