Which thermal/catalytic cracking process produces a higher yield of ethylene (1 Viewer)

I read that thermal produces a better yield but on the internet, it says fluid catalytic cracking is more efficient.
Is it true that another disadvantage of thermal is that it is hard to control? Is it the same of catalytic?
Also can someone tell me what feedstock is?
