Just saying, this forum has a strong UNSW bias. As shadowdude said your question is really broad and you haven't mentioned much. What course are you planning on doing, do you have friends going to either uni, how hard is it for you to get to either of them, does your ATAR allow you to get straight in to the course you want at both?

UNSW: a bit far away, good social life, internationally recognised
Macquarie: closer, shit social life (IMO), not that well known internationally

but it really depends on you and what uni you feel will suit you best!

I totally agree, UNSW social life is way better than MQ. Not even comparable tbh.
