He has a point... sorta.... though its inevitable that unsafe people are going to get their hands on a nuke (george w bush, lol. but seriously), then they could set off a misunderstanding etc etc....
On a related topic, anyone seen On the Beach? That movie made me consider the evilness of nukes for the first time.
Also jews = America = everywhere and in your face
Japan = isolation = Olympics takes the spotlight?
And yeah, China suffered many more civilian deaths.
nearly 6 million jews died, thats everyone you know, your whole family, friends, acquaintances and every person you have ever walked past in your life, thats your whole city wiped off the face of the earth, and then some.
then 20million chinese died, mostly attributed to japan, thats everyone in australia, gone.
and 26.6 million russians died, most of them civilians...its hard to wrap your mind around these numbers.
They kind of make 150 000 look puny in comparasion huh? and an invasion of japan, one of the most heavily fortified areas of land in the world would have resulted in hundreds of thousands of american soldiers dying, that doesnt take into account japanese forces and the fact that japan is densely populated, so thats another couple of hundred thousand civilian casualties as collateral, bombs, artillery shelling, fighting in the streets, it would have been like the civilian casualties in the iraq war[i forget the estimate but i remember 600 000 being thrown around somewhere], maybe worse because it is a much smaller country with a larger population.
Two cities were bombed which ended the war immediately, instead of months and months of traditional fighting. War is never pretty, so lets not try and hold the moral high ground when we didn't live in that time, it wasn't your friends or yourself fighting and dying to a brutal and barbaric enemy.
