i didnt directly say that australian soldiers deserved to die lol i just said that it is to be expected if you invade someone elses country. if we were invaded by iraq, would you not say that any iraqi soldiers who died could kind of expect it? could you not say similar things for the wehrmacht and ss invading russia in ww2 for example? and im not saying that the australian soldiers in iraq are comparable with the wehrmacht (i am). australian soldiers in afghanistan is a slightly different issue and i have no problems with them being over there. it is a UN sanctioned mission and it seems fairly clear that the majority of afghans welcomed intervention etc.
