Just some advice having just completed my undergraduate double degree of 4 years(UTS
).
Making your decision
- Do what you feel you will like
- Don't do something that's going to be a waste of time such as pure B.Arts degree's
-Business degrees are always good to combine with anything
- be optimistic in your choice and don't settle for medicority if you feel your ATAR is competitive enough for what you WANT.
- talk with graduates and ask them what it's like, what they regret etc...

At Uni...
Meeting people:
Take every opportunity to be involved with uni.
Be Outgoing but don't ignore others as you never know who you may fail to network with.
Network with everyone! BUT try and form a group of close friends who live around you or catch the same train or share similar interests.
Don't be closed minded.
* I can guarantee the people you meet in 1st year will not be the same people you graduate with*
This may be racist but it's a given fact: Don't waste your time socialising with international students and try avoid having them in your group assignments.
They stick to themselves and fail to integrate into university culture. You might Object to this statement lol but in a few years come back and read it again.
Studying
-Maximise your marks in your first year, GPA falls continuously and first year subjects are piss-easy.
- don't memorise the content by heart, familiarise and apply the content to questions to succeeed
- don't be a brown nose to lecturers etc
- don't be a photographer when it comes to lectures (i.e. dont take photos of useless shit in lectuers)
- study smart, balance study with personal health development and career prospects
