Yo, i was preselected this year, i sent in my artist statement, a little over a week ago, and im just wondering if they have sent back the confirmations of who got in yet?

I am =) and three others from my school.

They haven't sent out letters yet.
I found out because I had to reprint my photos.
Has anyone been asked to send in their art diary?
I was, but I don't know why..
They don't usually have them on exhibition do they?

i think it said on the forms that letters come out early december. but i don't really know a lot about that

art gallery NSW? congratz!! How did you find out? Also-- are the two others from your school also in the art gallery?

heh heh-- apparently I got in too =D... but kinda not so good locations though (David Jones-- huge surprise, I thought they chose paintings and photography, things that fit with the stores image but evidently they chose my pigeon loft!! also Wollongong city gallery)... still, I happy though=D

omg that is fantastic!!!! Huge congratulations!!! -- that is going to look great on a resume.

and thank you apparently the david jones thing is only for a week--- I'm assuming they might not display the loft but maybe the other components of the work.

congratz! Someone from our school was exhibited there last year I think. A little out of the way-- but a cool location-- sort of like a big warehouse. They always seem to choose environmental works for display there.

I reckon its sort of like an anticlimax-- to me art express IS art gallery of NSW ( keeping in mind I also didn't get in there)... its like.. I'm happy, but disappointed at the same time

Haha. I saw the letter today, soaked from the rain maybe a couple of days ago. I never checked the letterbox.

Mine's going to be at Sydney Olympic Park.

That's the first time in like 5 or 6 years or forever I think, that anyone from my shit school got in.

Hey congrats thats one hell of an achievement then - history making!!!!
Also congrats to everyone else who got in whether the AGNSW or not - they are clearly all fantastic cos otherwise you wouldn't have been selected!!!!

I went to school today and they told me I was the first from my school too. Haha. They should consider giving me my fees back just coz I got in.
