The question kinda hit me when a friend ask me that: "OMG why r u stil single, you're smart and funny and stuff"

My answer to that would probably be: i'm too chicken?

I'm also happily single atm: Single because I haven't found the right kind of guy yet, and happy because I have other things to occupy myself with until I meet him

I'm fat, unattractive and probably fairly boring. To be honest I probably wouldn't want to date myself, certainly not for an extended period of time, so it wouldn't feel right forcing that onto someone else.

Nevertheless I still manage to get a date every now and then.

Being single is freedom to do what you want, when you want, without consideration to someone to your "better half". Its nice to be able to go out, party, drink, flirt, dance, pull pranks, makeout without thinking about someone else. As soon as you get a boyfriend behavior changes and those invisible restrictions come into play.

Jealousy is a bitch and is best avoided.

Hey, maybe no one you know is good enough currently. Relationships require effort, and you need to find someone you're willing to make an effort for.

I think it's a very natural thing to wonder though, especially if you have lots of friends that are in long-term relationships. My mum's given me the "so what's wrong with you?" line before

I do think though, that a lot of people on this thread are still very young, so for those that are still single there is still plenty of time to meet lots of new people over the next few years
