In the General Board, BoS has sub-forums for cars, politics and real estate.

It strikes me strange that there are no sub-forums for different religions and spirituality. I guess maybe there's no demand or something happened in the past that caused the removal of such a sub-forum.

it'll probably be a rehash of the "does God exist thread" i.e. an incessant argument which never reaches any form of consensus

e.g. "christianity thread"
>kid comes in
>"God doesn't exist"
>argument begins and ends when the world ends

Then make it a restricted forum. Like 50 posts before you can view and contribute in it.
Kind of like how the Non-School sub-forum can only be viewed by registered members.

that's still not going to prevent the shitstorm, probably slightly minimize it

I think there should be a religion forum (I'm christian), but I'm just stating the probable implications

Won't help considering most of the people which debate about religion are established members anyway.

NCAP suffices for religion talk.

flash, do you mean to say that there should be a thread for people to positively discuss their religions, or do you mean to say that there should be a thread for people to argue about the existence of gods, as has been the case in the past.

Regardless of whether we do or don't have one ... Threads that involve religion always, and I mean always turn nasty.
