dude if i want to socialise / get laid / get drunk im not going to spend 1000+ going to fucking queensland to do it, im going to travel 20 mins into the city and accomplish exactly the same thing

yeah schoolies sucks
i went and it was shhhittt
everything was overpriced and the place was overun by derro people
and we went back in Febuary and had a much better time and did it for half the price!

Both times surfers and it was heaps better in Febaury there was heaps of uni people around because uni hadnt started so we could breathe in the clubs actually were able to get to the bar and buy drinks and coz it was low peak most bars offered free drinks before midnigt and puub crawls were only 30 instead of 90 and we didnt have to wait long to get on the rides and theme parks

i dont want to and i dont think that i would enjoy going to a place where the sole intention is to get drunk and have sex.

Does it vary depending wether it's in NSW or Qld??.

the beach parties are worth going to schoolies for. so go during qld week..

in the end its you and your friends that can make it the best time possible.
not what others make it.
and going to schoolies doesnt neccessarily mean getting laid or getting drunk or whatever.
you can do whatver the hell you want, that will make your stay pleasant.
and half the ppl posting stuff on here saying it wont be a good time because YOU didnt have a good time doesnt mean she will have a bad time.

im going up to forster a place with nothing but im going anyway because im spending the week with my mates iv known for a long time and i know that we will have great time even though eveyone is saying its a boring place yada yada but then again its what you do that'll make your stay good

i say go to schoolies because it only happens once when you wont be a toolie.
and you might regret it and if you do go up and regret it later at least it will be something to remember and talk about rather than say oh i didnt go cuz the internet told me not too.

but then again its your choice

no. schoolies is so overrated. it is the biggest rip-off. save your money for something worthwhile. it gets boring after one night.
