Will I get a late round offer from UNSW? (1 Viewer)

As some of you may know due to my personal situation I achieved an ATAR of 67.90.

After the deadline for submitting my preferences for the Main Round Offers had passed I learnt that I was eligible to receive 10 bonus points under EAS.

And I also learnt that I was eligible to receive one bonus point for my English Advanced Marks in HSC for BA from UNSW .

That raised my total score from 67.90 to 78.90

However it was to late to apply for the main round offers.

Now I can only apply for the late round offers.

The cut-off for the main round offers in BA from UNSW was 78 this year and was also 78 for the past couple of years.

However I was worried if the Late Round cut-off would change for the course. I checked the past late round cut-offs:

And I saw that the Main Round cut-off and the Late Round cut-off for my course has been pretty much the same for the past few years

Now I want to know what are my chances of me getting into my preferred course at UNSW in the Late Round Offer?

I believe UNSW will introduce the minimum requirement ATAR of 80 for all course admissions. http://newsroom.unsw.edu.au/news/general/unsw-applies-minimum-cut. That being said, you could at least try and see what happens.

But the Atar cut-offs provided in the school booklets for BA in UNSW was 78

Actually it was even lower at 73 at UNSW

That's the international students table, the cut offs in the booklets are also last years. No one can tell you for sure what the cutoffs will be this year and if you will get in.

So the ATAR cut-off for BA at UNSW will be above 80? But then why does it say that the projected cut-off is in the 80s?

It should be 80 or over.

Where does it say that projection? Chances are the announcement was made after whatever document was published stating a projection of 78.

But that is no way negates the fact that UNSW has said the minimum cut-offs will be 80 or above.

If its 80 then there really is no point of me applying at all. Because with bonus points included I can get only 78.90.

Well I would have loved to have done BA at UNSW but oh well it wasn't possible

Like I said, that document is for international students. The booklet for domestic students shows 2013 entry cut offs.
