Hey all,

This thread is written on behalf of Kami (who has an assignment due tommorrow and really REALLY needs help). Anyway, here's the problem:

Whenever he turns on his computer he gets the message "We apologise for the incovenience but windows did not start succesfully etc..please choose one of the following: Safe Mode, Start Windows Normally etc."

Whenever either of these two options are choosen, a blue screen appears stating 'registry error' and then the computer automatically restarts. This keeps happening in an eternal loop.

Any one have any suggestions?

Thanks :)

After turning your PC on, before you get to that options screen, hit whatever key is configured to launch your computer's BIOS (eg. F12). Change the boot drive to your CD drive, put your Windows CD in, save settings and restart.

After you restart, the Windows installation/repair software should load. You will be able to repair windows (if all else fails, you may have to reinstall) -- just follow the prompts.
