My school has both work experience and community service done over a 2 week period. For my opinion I'd prefer community service, cuz its more relaxing and I get to hang out with 2 girls

It's not compulsory at my school but you have to come to school if you don't have work experience for 'normal classes' which are not occuring.

Mine's next week at K-Zone. I have no idea what i will be doing.

its wasnt compulsory in yr 10....well it was until they changed the policy and stopped letting ppl go on work experience.
i wanted to go to the vet clinic at USYD..but yea..school rejected my application to go.

im thinking of places to go for yr 11 now...
either sciency places..or musical places..
any ideas?

i went to sydney symphony orchestra..
is that musical enough..?

What are u doing?. I'm at my uncle's medical centre, were i do absoulutely NOTHING.

Thats why i'm putting this thread up to cure my boredom

at work exp now...lols...mine's a bit late. Its compulsory at my school (well at least thats true for my class) since everyone in my class takes VET IT for our year 10 electives so work exp is compulsory.

I'm spending a week at City of Sydney Council (Finance Department). Checking out all their accounts and what they do here for the Council.

I went to work exp. at Alliance Francaise. It's like a french community thing place. There's classes and a library. There's a cafe too where I originally wanted to work at, but didn't let me because there were safety stuff involved. I ended up working at the library.

The work was boring but I was there so I can be in a "french environment". :uhhuh: That was pretty good because everyone spoke french there and i got free french food. but that is irelevant (or is it?)

Went to Syd Dental Hospital for work experience, (last place I could get, after all the hospitals were taken) I think it's just reassured me why I shouldn't be a dentist.

Have a nine floor tour of the place, and I wore the crappest shoes on that day and got blisters afterwards. gross.

Kids were vomiting from being too nervous, after finding out they had to take out a coupel of teeth.

They also had heaps of strange people, cause it's a community medicare kinda place.

anyway I think I'll just stick to something un-dentistry related, for later on in life.

my work experience was awesome awesome awesome. I spent my one week at Royal Prince Alfred. got to see doctors operating on patients. really reallly cool.
