I wonder why there are around 50% L/H batsman in the Australian team (and in ODIs in general) when Left Handers are of only 13% of the population???

i'm fair dinkum good bowler but i have to cut the oranges every weekend. if im lucky i will carry the drinks. but thats the farthest i made it up the team. hopefully one day i will captain australia

1. newhere between middle to late order..i did open a couple of times
2. L/H
3. cover drive
4. r/h medium...but i became a r/h off spinner
5. point/cover/mid off

2 diff positions:
Gilly (Wicket Keeper/Batsman)
Leehman (Bowler/Batsman)
Clarke (Bowler/Batsman) - predominately batter, only bowled in i believe 2 test matches, more for NSW

I never have a set position. I used to open every game throughout all Junior and School sides. But in my last year of Cricket for school I wanted to go down a bit and now in my grade side I am in the middle order too.

Generally 3, 4 and 5. I really dont mind.

i prob could bat with my right...lol need to improve timing...!!! If i play cricket with my mates i used to bat with right to see how i went!!! Lol ave: 1. umm maybe less. Dunno how u can ever bat with right. Its soooooo hard!!!
