Will you lose a mark if you write an imaginary with 0 imaginary part as just the real part? I might have made that mistake in my first test, so I just wanna kind of know...

If imaginary part = 0, then number is real (a real number is still a complex number), so you should be OK. 7 = 7 + 0i (but we don't usually write it like this)

Bear in mind, though, if is purely real but and are complex numbers, it does not follow that and that the number is .
