HELP! I need a written text about a physical, inner or imaginative journey
(can also be a combination or all three)...
can you say what type of journey the one you chose is and 3 key ideas about your text
e.g. journeys can be challenging; the journey can be the reward... etc.

you could possibly analyse one of Robert Frosts poems.

The Road Not Taken


Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveller, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:

And that has made all the difference.

If you don't like this, there is a list upon Board of Studies for related texts that were used for the module to do with journeys.

do you know the direct link to that board of studies page?
and do you know any ideas or assumptions conveyed in the poem? e.g. journeys can take time...?

In basic terms within Frosts poem he is reflecting back upon a path that was lesser taken and that he is still undertaking the journey by learning and reflecting upon the physical actions that he undertook all those years ago.

I've actually decided to do the novel 'The Lovely Bones" could you help me with that instead Kat92?

haha already did :) thanks for your assistance so far... and would you be able to help me any further with australia?? coz you gave me 3 ideas except 2 of them were on challenges do you happen to know a third? idk maybe "journeys take time" but im not sure if that relates... lol do you?

Can't really think of a 3rd at the moment.

I would agree though that journeys do take time. This is quite evident in how lurhman set up his movie to be staged over a couple of different historical years.
