I watch wrestling mostly for the characters. Nothing really enthuses me about the matches unless there's some cool characters involved, and HBK and Edge are pretty much the only two that provide anywhere near a decent character these days. Meh.

There are restrictions on his moves that are applied to him, so even with that he still manages to put on great matches.

There may be other high flyers, but alot of them are spot monkeys. This is where they dont do much for most of the match, but then every once in a while they pull off amazing moves. Im not complaining though, they're still great to watch

Having great moves is just one aspect of the match, selling your opponents moves, match psychology, and just generaly organising all of this are also very important.

just been watching the eddie guerrero tribute on youtube...pretty upsetting

im a huge fan of more hardcore wrestling...ie hell in a cell, elimination chamber, ladder matches etc, but damn they go on for like 30 mins
still good to watch though

Yeah, I'm a fan of Luchadores, Eddie was great. He is still missed

Hardcore wrestling as well. Mainly old school ECW

But nothing beats pure mat wrestling, guys like Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle and Bret Hart.

Here IMO, is the best match of all time. There is quite a long promo at the start, but that just makes it better

i know about wwe's restrictions. they suck. rey is definetly the best high fligher the wwe have considering.

i used to watch rey back in wcw when it was nitro. the cruiserweight division was awesome. rey, kidman, psychosis, juventud guerrera.

the tna's x division isn't too bad either. christopher daniels is awesome and is always getting better.

rey was always a bit of a spot monkey though. but i guess the luche libra style is like that in general.

but man has he buffed up since wcw. its ridiculous.

cool match. the somersault plancha to the headscissors outside was pretty darn crazy. eddie carried rey to a brilliant match.

was that halloween havok? it might explain reys phantom costume.

dynamite kid vs tiger mask. these guys were way ahead of there time. they did a lot for the junior division......the most awesome matwork. remember this is in like early 80's. most of the clips are from like 81-83 i think.

misawa v kawada. these guys were the greatest in the 90's. had awesome feuds. the pinnacle of japanese strong style wrestling. its a clipped match. the sequence of elbows vs kicks back and forth they always have is amazing.

kobashi v dr death williams. this match is insanely stiff. from the 90's again. AJPW had so many stars in the 90's it was ridiculous the ammount of 5 star matches that came out form that time. this is a whole match. requires patience to watch. but you should see the ending.

misawa v kobashi (its labeled wrong on youtube). another long match. this is much later in their career (2005 match i think). but they don't give a fuck. they just totally go for it. the story behind this is that kobashi(black trunks) has never beaten misawa for the championship in 7 years.

but then i gave it a chance. and the japanese heavyweight matches are just fucking awesome.
