What are you leaning towards? Already made up your mind? Why or why not? Buying on release?

PS4.
Because I think the 24 hour thing is BS and I like PS3.
Depends on release day. I might pick up a cheap/early one when I'm overseas at the end of the year if its not in Aus

PS4 eventually sometime before the end of the year, not release day though. More for the PS only games than anything else.

Amazon have the PS4 for $399. No way I'm paying local prices.

I definitely prefer the PS4 but I think I might give console gaming a miss for the upcoming generation considering the huge price disparities between games on PC and console games.

Looking to buy a gaming PC and make the money back on heavily discounted games.

UK or US? Is it going to be region locked though?
IIRC region locking is up to the whims of the publisher. It isn't region locked by default.

Good idea. I don't mind the logging in every 24 hours because I have a wireless router anyway.

Personally I'm looking forward to fri xbox live

I think it's still got NTSC for muricans as well. I dunno whether Australian TV's have compatibility with it or not, but I think some actually do.

kinect always on (you can tell your kinect to turn the xbone on)
no borrowing a friends game unless they've been a friend on XBL for 30 days, and even then, you can only lend once
all games digital download, so buy have to install a game even though you own the disc
log in once every 24 hours

"If you take it to their house and try to play it on their system using your account, you won't need to pay."

Not as bad as first thought then.

Borrowing single player games could be a bit of a hassle though as you would either need to know how to log into your mate's account or have them come over and do it themselves every time you wanna play it
