Your choices are good but I recommend you pick English E 1 first and drop it after if you cannot cope, its hard and not sure if possible to pick a ext in mid term

If you like complicated maths, take higher level maths. You're not going to get anything complicated maths wise in any other HSC subject... other than maths.

you don't really need any subjects in year 11-12 for medicine however, many uni's just recommend chem.
