So I'm choosing my subjects for yr11 right now and I would really like help and an opinion because I'm struggling to choose between ext1 English or advanced. I really want to do ext1 for a long time, but due to my first exam I didn't do very well (low B) and I'm worried I'm not going to get in. I Usually get straight A's for English and I know I mucked this exam up. will it really affect my chances of getting into. Ext 1????? And are there alternate ways to do Ext 1 Eng????????
I really need help because I'm really passionate and determined to get in Ext 1 English!

Can't you choose extension english ? Or is there some sort of test you need to do ?

Just choose it, you should be fine if you are actually passionate about it. If you are denied, try having a talk with the head teacher and see if you could work anything out. They aren't allowed to deny you unless not enough people to make a class or too many people..they can recommend you to not do it, but arent legally allowed to stop you

Just choose English Extension One, and see how it goes. No harm in trying, and no need to over-worry

Choose English Extension, as you can always drop but not necessarily pick it up.

If there's a will, there's a way. Pursue Eng Ext 1 with that passion.
