Year 12 in a week! why am I not scared?

Hey guys... umm i dunno about everyone here but although i realise that year 12 is in a week... I am not scared at all and not even nervous?! is this normal? i mean usually when I'm nervous I work harder... I haven't even bought my HSC books yet? I mean seriously whos in the same position as Iam?

then whats the issue? what do you expect people to say? "omg! hes not stressing about year 12??? THERE MUST BE SOMETHING WRONG WITH HIM!!!!!!"

i guess you're just more laid back the other people.

i dont think theres much to be stressed about, the first day back next term isn't gonna feel any different. no assessments yet or anything.

nothing wrong with that, you'll find most people will be like that in regards to the HSC begining for the 09 cohort.

the hsc is really nothing to worry about (yes there is some things) but if you don't even consider it to be stressful in the first place then you won't stress

IT'S ONLY STRESSFUL IF YOU WANT IT TO BE STRESSFUL

sorry to say this so much but it is the truth, stress is a psychological thing so don't think HSC = STRESS, HSC=HSC not stress.

Just stay cool you obviously have the right mind set, keep it and all will be fine

Its prob more the fact that it hasn't sunk in yet? Everyone's intimidated on some level.

I mean maybe your the kind of person that it takes a while to kick in. Whilst i'm being quite laid back doing little work here and there, I'm slowly drilling into my mind that its not good to be so laid back and slowly ease up a bit. Seems to be working quite well!

true i'm maybe just a bit scared that i'm not gonna study the way i want, and everything that i'm planning wont happen in terms of study or i wont get the rank/marks i want. maybe thats the only thing i'm scared of

lol why do you seem so agitated :mad1:? all I'm saying is that I'm not feeling any emotion to the fact that I'm going into year 12... mean while people on this forum are all prepared and nervous etc...

I'm just wondering if it is healthy to have a mindset such as mine... really hard to explain at times... and also want to know what everyone else thinks about it

I wasn't nervous going into yr 12....and I didn't buy any textbooks lol.

to be honest, i'm actulaly a bit excited to go into year 12, it seems fun and also we'll get our exams bak =)
