Hey guys!
Im applying for year 9 to Baulkham Hills, Girra and Penrith and totally freaking out! :speechless:
Ill just list my marks and extra curricular activities and you guys could tell me if I have a chance or not.
Im currently in year 8
For this year my work has been:
English Assessment 1: 85%
English Assessment 2: 95%
- Average= 90
Math: All above 90
Science 1 (research): 100%
Science 2 (exam): 91%
Science 3 (prac test): 86%
- Average=92.3
History 1: 80%
History 2: 85%
History 3: 92.5%
- Average=85.8

All the compulsory subjects have been pretty good. A's for everything except for music, which I think it'll be huge drop down to a C :uhoh:

Year 7 Sem 2 marks were all A's except for History

Extra curricular activities
Primary:
-House Captain
-Main part in Musical
-Extended English, Science, Math tests (the ones conducted by UNSW, marks weren't too impressive, I usually had credits or a few distinctions) but ye)
-5 consistent diligence awards (3 trophies and 2 certificates)
-Gold Merit for leadership program

Secondary:
-Music Tour Team
-School Plaque for 4 Principals awards

Secondary hasn't been amazing for extra curricular things...

Are these factors okay? Do I have a chance for Baulkham Hills?
Sorry, this was super long haha, replies would be appreciated thanks!
:)

Entry into Years 8, 9 and 10 is VERY competitive (acceptance rates are much lower) compared to entry into Year 11.

You have Year 10 and Year 11 placement left if this one doesn't go in your favour :)

You have somewhat a decent chance (considering your Year 8 half-yearly report of all As except 1 C in music and your Year 7 yearly report of all As except 1 B in history) in terms of the academic part of your application.

Your extracurriculars are not too great (especially with most of them focusing on primary school)... but yeah, Year 6 stuff might still be acceptable.

Girra and Penrith, you have a good shot at those two schools.

Baulko... well, you have a CHANCE but not sure how you'll stand out against straight As applicants or those with more spectacular extra curricular activities...

Good luck!
