Hey,

I'm a first year Commerce-Law student at the University of Sydney, and i'm tutoring for years 7-12 English and Maths. For Preliminary and HSC students, I tutor Standard and Advanced English, and 2U and 3U maths. I received a UAI of 99.95, and scored 95 in Advanced English, 99 in 3U maths and 96 in 4U maths. I have good communication skills, am a patient teacher, and I have a stockpile of old essays and creatives for English students, and past papers for Maths students. I've also got a lot of advice on how to tackle the HSC, in terms of meeting the marking criteria, setting out your work and choosing the best study method.

Edit: After completing a considerable portion of first year University economics, I am now also tutoring preliminary and HSC economics. My HSC result for Economics was 98, and I placed 9th in the state. I have a set of highly detailed notes to teach from, as well as regularly updated information from the news and The Economist, which I will explain to you in the context of the course.

I live in Mortdale, which is near Hurstville, and I tutor from home. My rates are $30 an hour. I'm available on Monday, Thursday and Friday from 3 and all day on weekends.

As a rule I generally don't recommend tutors, but this one's an exception. When I was in year 12, Ajay pretty much helped all of us at Sydney Boys for maths, economics and chemistry. He'd pretty much be the first person you'd go to if you had a problem, and was very patient in explaining to us concepts and also how to tackle certain questions. On top of this, he's funny and approachable.

You won't feel awkward with this guy, which is an often undervalued and disregarded quality while preselecting tutors. Top guy.
