I think I got accepted into the BIT course for UTS!

So incredibly stoked!

My family got a phone call from Anna while I was out, they said I was being offered one and that she had sent me an email with more information.

Trouble is, I haven't got the email...

But still - Wow! Just wow!

nah just kidding.

But I'm very happy with that - 97.45 seems beyond my craziest Year 12 expectations and I'm keen on doing IT.

I might start learning PHP properly now that I'm in something to keep me sharp lol

I see you're from Gosford High School. Perhaps you know Brad Hircock? He's in my cohort for BIT, I think he came out and did a talk at your school (which was his school too).

Know of anyone else who got in yet or did you just get called today ?

Yeah, I know Brad, his girlfriend is an aquaintence of mine, and he did give that talk and I asked heaps of questions lol

Nice bloke. I was the only one to get an interview from my school, so it looks like I'll be flying solo on this one

UTS has a good reputation in the IT field despite their subjects are very poorly taught

programming fundamentals and application programming are two good examples

I believe the pattern of calling generally goes:
* People who got the interview letter saying that if they got 94+ UAI they're in usually get called on the day the HSC results came out or soon after
* People who got the interview letter saying that they're still eligible usually get called once the UAI is released

However, this pattern is in no way indicative of when you'll actually get called, so don't panic if you haven't been called yet. Good luck to all who applied

I'm pretty sure they contact you whether you got in or not, so you'll get a phone call/email at some stage...
