Why did/are you doing it?
What's your motivation?
How did you find the work load, especially on top of all your other exams and subjects?
How were your others results? Why?
Did you ever end up in a rut, thinking "I can't do this" type thing? Did you get out of it? How?
Any regrets?
Are you glad you did/are doing it?
In future life, how do you think it will help you?
What was the scaling like/what do you expect it to be like?

Yes, question overload, I'm sorry, but I'm curious :p
Thanks in advance!!

Why did/are you doing it?
I am good at math and enjoy it. Furthermore its reduces the total amount of different subjects I have (counting 4u as 1 subject) and reduces the amount of rote learning memorization regurgitation subjects.
What's your motivation?
Friends/good marks/scaling
How did you find the work load, especially on top of all your other exams and subjects?
4u took the majory major major part. Mostly because it was so much more enjoyable to study than the other subjects.
How were your others results? Why?
Excellent due to hard work, talent, and a bit of luck.
Did you ever end up in a rut, thinking "I can't do this" type thing? Did you get out of it? How?
No rut, a lot of support from friends who also did 4u.
Any regrets? no
Are you glad you did/are doing it? yes
In future life, how do you think it will help you? Advantage in uni course.
What was the scaling like/what do you expect it to be like?
Very insane, 4u is the easiest subject to get band 6+

Fun and good marks ie. Scaling.
Are you glad you did/are doing it?
Yes.

It'll help in uni i guess.

Why did/are you doing it?
I like doing maths.
What's your motivation?
Don't need that much.
How did you find the work load, especially on top of all your other exams and subjects?
Not that much, it's just another subject, you need to balance.
How were your others results? Why?
Good, top 2 for ext 1, physics, top 3 chem, 1st for ext 2.
Did you ever end up in a rut, thinking "I can't do this" type thing? Did you get out of it? How?
Nope, never. Or, maybe when I first started and I couldn't get stuff straight away, but I realised everyone didn't get stuff too.
Any regrets?
Nope.
Are you glad you did/are doing it?
Yes.
In future life, how do you think it will help you?
I heard it will help in uni courses, and for some jobs too.
What was the scaling like/what do you expect it to be like?
The scaling is good, will expect it to scale one of the best, like it has every year.

Why did/are you doing it?
I don't know, just thought it would be kinda cool. I was bored with the two unit maths and I was already doing some extra maths.
What's your motivation?
Don't really need much. I just do it for fun. Every now and then I get to a bit that I kinda have to power through, but it's not too bad. Besides, when you finally get it, it's so motivating in itself.
How did you find the work load, especially on top of all your other exams and subjects?
Definately more than my other subjects. It was good though, because it combined all my maths subjects into one.
How were your others results? Why?
Good I suppose. Top three in everything except English.
Any regrets?
No.
Are you glad you did/are doing it?
Definately.
In future life, how do you think it will help you?
It will help in Uni, and then with stuff I do after that.
What was the scaling like/what do you expect it to be like?
It's kinda kick ass. I like that one of my favourite subjects scales basically the best.

if you are wanting advice on whether you do it. answer this q

do you enjoy doing maths?
if yes, the benefits are so great.
like undalay said 'Furthermore its reduces the total amount of different subjects I have (counting 4u as 1 subject) and reduces the amount of rote learning memorization regurgitation subjects.' it is so right
scaling is huge.. its a good challenge.
if you enjoy maths as as long as you are capable (you improve so much so dont be detered if you think you might be a little off) i recomended highly

Also, if you are considering doing it, I suggest doing it for at least term 4. That way, you can get a trial of what it's like, and the longer you do it, the better you will be at maths. If you drop it after two terms, then you will still be ahead of the three and two unit people.

Why did/are you doing it?
Because it scales well and i always wanted a good UAI.
What's your motivation?
The adreline pumping before a test throughout the year i couldnt work but 1-2 days before a test i would just cram it all in.
How did you find the work load, especially on top of all your other exams and subjects?
Unlike everyone else i didnt. I didnt do a lot of the work throughout the year i just crammed before tests and i would not advise it there is a reason why my assessment mark was so low.
How were your others results? Why?
Before not so good because i didnt do enough. Now after a good solid weeks study and a fair few past papers it has gone through the roof. Really all the questions are the same have the same tricks asked in a different way.
Did you ever end up in a rut, thinking "I can't do this" type thing? Did you get out of it? How?
Very often because i was lazy and didnt want to think about it so i gave up. But you get used to seeing the questions and the tricks you use to get passed them.
Any regrets?
Not working throughout the year.
Are you glad you did/are doing it?
Very its looking very good now.
In future life, how do you think it will help you?
Hoping for a massive UAI boost from it. But will never use it again. But what other people are not saying it helps your 3 unit immmensly firstly because of the sheer amount of maths you are doing and secondly because most of 4U is an extension of 3U.
What was the scaling like/what do you expect it to be like?
As you well know its AWESOME.

Because '4-unit' is quite a lot easier to say and write than 'Extension 2 Mathematics'.

My answers are pretty similar to other but whatever,

Why did/are you doing it?
I'm good at maths and enjoy it more than other subjects
What's your motivation? It scales well and a need a UAI of like 99.5, so hopefully it will help me get it.
How did you find the work load, especially on top of all your other exams and subjects? Not as bad as I thought it would be. You just cant let it get on top of you (ie for example if you dont understand something dont wait till the week before an assesment task to find out, work it out early).
How were your others results? Why? I came first in everything except english (which I came third in), so pretty good =]. Idk I have good time management skills and am able to study 4u and other subjects while still having a life.
Did you ever end up in a rut, thinking "I can't do this" type thing? Did you get out of it? How? Never. If anything I felt good when I could. I remember coming out of my first 4u class and thinking "haha i can do 4u" (even though the first lesson was piss easy (easier than 2u))
Any regrets? Nope
Are you glad you did/are doing it? Yes
In future life, how do you think it will help you? Well, hopefully it will help me get my UAI. I dont want to do maths/engineering/science in uni but maybe it will pop up somewhere in the future. I also think doing complex problems really develops your brain as opposed to rote learning subjects.
What was the scaling like/what do you expect it to be like? Good/good
