Yep. And it pretty much screwed up my story.

I was describing leaves! Who the fuck looks at a leaf and thinks "that leaf is ellipse shaped"?

You know you've been doing to much maths when...

- When you know pi to more than 30 decimals

- When instead of playing motorcycle games on the internet in class, you are on MathLinks trying to solve any question you can get your hands on

- When you are poring yourself a cup of coffee and you cant stop yourself from developing an equation of the fluids dynamics.

- When you see a statement and can't help but finding the converse of this statement and finding out whether its true

- When you see a train and always think special relativity (more of a physics one, but hey)

- When harder 3U no longer becomes hard

*Always write curvy 'x's in english.
*You stay up at 2am posting answers on the BOS Maths forums
*You celebrate the 14th of March by eating Pies
*Momentarily stopping in a bus or car, you think 'ooh a stat point'

Edit: Haha for my Trials in english I wrote a story personifying an electron, written in first person from the electrons perspective. Pretty creative for making it up on the spot I think.

Thats just a good summarising technique. I use arrows, + - = as well as the symbol for therefore

One of the weirder suggestions that i have read for extension activities for gifted students is to get them to write essays on the topic

"In what ways are transcendental numbers like running water?"

(This was supposed to be for year 8 kids, or something like that.)

Um, I think I got 9/15. In their defence, it was a bit shoddy, could've been written much better. Might even write the same story, or a draft anyway, before, and for, the HSC.
