I know someone who is a teller (I'm 19) and has been for the past 1 or 2 years, so its possible. Doing B.comm would definitely help.
Tips: Correct spelling on your resume and cover letter.

To my knowledge a B.Comm won't really help you in attaining a bank teller job as that's not really what they're looking for.

I know three people who are bank tellers and all three don't have degrees.

It could vary among banks though, so I could be mistaken.

Depends if they see you as someone who has potential to join them later on as a grad. At least with some of the big retail banks, this is a huge plus because if you move into an accounting, finance or marketing role, you have a much better understanding of where the bank's core deposits come from and the importance of products which people want. Throw in a bit of customer satisfaction metrics and you have yourself a graduate who has a better idea of what's going on than.
