Re: Favourite Car

Atm it's the 2006 Benz CL65- full of power, class and elegance.

In terms of favourite car which I hope to own within next 5-10years; probably a CLK350 or 335Ci/M3 :)

Re: Favourite Car

why did the muscle car shape go out of date? cause i really like the design. i'm hoping more car companies revive that shape for actual sale and not just as a concept like the current Ford Mustang. also i don't see why the PT Cruiser isn't more popular when it first came out.

Because its an unspoken fact that classic muscle cars should stay just that, classic. You look at the new mustangs and monaro's and you think, why? Why would anyone make an oldschool tuff muscle car into a poofy retro modern day car, its murder i tell you.

Re: Favourite Car

well the new Monaro looks nothing like it's original. the only thing they have in common is a name.

at least the new Mustang looks good, i didn't like the design of the previous model. would you ever buy a retro looking car or are you going to search for what little is left of the old school muscle cars? i'm surprised there are some still around.

Re: Favourite Car

The Monaro looks like a cheap Volvo C70 ripoff.

Anyway, the automotive world has to move on. Looking back results in bastard creations like the Chrysler PT Cruiser.

Re: Favourite Car

Man this thread just killed my bandwidth. Thumbnails + Imageshack people!

And what about the Mini Cooper? I think the new incarnation did an awesome job of bringing new life into a cult classic. The beetle- to a lesser extent, but it captured the mood of the original I suppose.

Re: Favourite Car

Ah, but 15 sec is respectable for an old car. Especially if it was running a 3sp auto.

Re: Favourite Car

Didn't BMW release 650Ci now to replace all the other 6 series (not counting M6)?

Btw the 645Ci is a damn sexy beast.
