I read somewhere that overweight women should put on no weight at all (including the baby), because their diet should be better during pregnancy and the amount of weight they lose over the 9 months would equal (or even exceed) that of the baby.

lol nah, my mum wasn't overweight, she was like 52KG at the time, or thereabouts, i've seen pics of her when I was small, didnt look anything like overweight in them.
