^ Tough titties, but the HSC is not based on luck, rather, rote learning. And I guess a SLIGHT bit of luck in regards to what exam questions you get... only very slight.

2003 SC: Eng: 86, Maths: 87, Sci: 84, Hist: 72, Geog: 73. Heaps of people beat me.

I was dissapointed with my geog and history results - I was aiming for band 2.

Now, I do 4u Maths, Adv Eng, SDD, Chem. Am 1st in 4u maths, 1st in Adv Eng, 1st in SDD, and like 5th in Chem. Take that, you piece of shit School Certificate.

Slide, I didn't see anyone saying that results in the SC correspond to Marks in the HSC..

SC is nothing. My lowest mark in the SC was 83 for Geo and my highest was 92 for English and HSC results come out in approximately 6 hrs and 20 mins and there's no way my HSC marks will be like that.

Did the 2003 SC and i've lost my sheet thingy too...that's how much it's helped me...

Maths: 83 (damn non-calc can go to hell...*eye twitch returns*)

History: 91 (subject most studied for...memorized the whole bloody excel textbook...*that other eye twitch returns*)

Geography: 96 (subject i didn't study for at all...kinda shows its merit huh :uhhuh: )

I've posted these so that they are now immortalised in this thread as a symbol of my glory days...*sigh*...for i bet i shall crash and burn in the 05 HSC

Science: 89 - i was dead sick on this day, i left with about 45 mins to go in the exam :S i was surprised by the result...

I am really disappointed cuz i wagged most of year 9 and was kinda only started trying to learn halfway through year 10 and my school is pretty crap. My counsellor is really pissed off cuz i have a high iq ( slightly higher than average actually) and these are my results

maths - 81 (fucked up non calculator)
science - 89 (im normally bad at it hee hee)
history - 87
geography - 87
i studied most for history and science i think it paid off but im still a bit pissed off with myself so in years 11 and 12 im going to aim high and then at least if i fuck it up it will be cuz im dumb not cuz im slack

I don't know what to write as an aftermath though...you see our school holds y10 exams in term 3, so we finish by then, and we stop having y10 classes. I dropped both geo and history, and had no more lessons in term four. I did no studying for his/geo until I realised 2 weeks before, OH NO! School Cert is coming and I don't know ANYTHING! Hence the dip. But still, I figured nobody will really look at my results. I got so distracted during the school cert period, I was basically writing letters to < insert names here > ... Daniel Radcliffe **drools**

I did okay... im over the moon though cause there was like so much pressure on me to do well but i did the best I could

English (I wrote about microwaves in it ¿)- 85 % (band 5)
Maths - 97% (band 6)...far out 100 is like impossible
Science- 91% (band 6)
Geography-81% (band 5)
History-91% (band 6)

I have to agree it all changes this year (2005), the expectations are alot harder and you have to put in the effort from day one.
