Math is important, especially if you're looking for a subject that scales well, because 4U math and 3U math scales better than anything except obscure languages. But General Math is seriously like english math (oxymoron), because it's all about interpreting the question correctly. It scales down so much you shouldn't do it.

I agree. Maths is truly as important as English, if not more. It is good idea to Maths even if it is General Maths.

Maths is really important if ur crap at english. You can make up alot of lost ground by ripping maths. But english is the most important...dere's NO escaping it 20% of ur hsc is going to be made up of ur english mark like it or not!

Hmm I don't really know whats my best/worst - marks pretty simular in all subjects.

Best subject probably is Business I think and worst would have to be physics or english, however by saying that the marks are pretty much equal across all my subjects.

Well Maths is one of the most important subjects for most courses.

Maths is a really important subject I agree, at some school its compulsory or the only other option is a non UAI course.
I think everyone should do maths just like everyone does english and the scaling is awesome for 3 and 4 unit maths.

Best so far: Maths, Senior Science.
Worst so far: English, english extension.

i would also like to say that english is for the smarter people, who can actually use their brains to think outside the box! Foram, you do appear VERY up yourself haha
these are my percentages in subjects so far:

Eng- 90% (what a let down!)
Ext 1 Eng- 80% (any1 else hate crime fiction??)
Ext 2 Eng- 85%
General Maths- 87%
Chemistry- 99% (hahahaha total fluke)
Geography- 94%
Ancient History- 84%
Histiry Extension- 80%

year 11 was so much better than yr 12!! aurghh!! not fair y cant i keep my yr 11 marks?

if any1s doing the same subjects as me can they please tell me how thr doing?

Currently, best is Ancient (90%), worst is probably Legal (dunno, but I'm not happy about the test I did yesterday). Thank god I don't do Maths anymore.

At my school almost all the science teachers are crap but ONE. And people are struggling coz of it.
So I dunno...if you're not doing great at science subjects is it because your teacher isn't that good? Because from what I've heard, alot of sci-teachers from all different schools are pretty poor in standard.
