The Government's changes to youth allowance have passed through parliament (as of Thursday 18 March). The first of the reforms are to come into effect April 1 2010.

This is fucking terrible

My parents shouldn't be forced to find $10k+ a year for me (and my 3 siblings) to attend university, especially whilst approaching retirement age

And as a taxpayer and independent adult citizen by every other test, I should have the right to access appropriate income support before I turn 22
