I know, i'll be dropping it for 4U math in yr 12 . I think this is the only time in my life i'll be getting about 25%, except in my biology test last year where i think i got about 30%... (oops). I'm was really bad at biology because wasn't interested in it.

Adv Eng: 13/15 & 17/20 (prety good coz i didnt study)
2U maths: 28/36 (grrrh i thot i was god at math)
Busin studies: 36/40
Bio: dont even go there

btw do u rekon u can get a UAI in the 90's without any extension subjects?

It only seems like we're all so smart, because usually only the people who get good marks post them up.

Also, you don't need an extention subject to get a UAI over 90. Just try to get a scaled mark in the mid-low 80's in each subject, then you're looking at about 95+ or so.

with your subjects, geting a raw mark in the high 80's will get you a UAI over 90, i think.

You'll be fine. Those marks are pretty good.

me on the otherhand..ergh,i've just been cruising really this term..and it shows ;<
Pretty much doing shit in all my subjects, in maths only barely passing, physics on the otherhand i'm failing ;< English is meh, and haven't gotten any results back for modern,bio or s&c - pretty sure i did a bit better in them tho..

Guess i'll have to stop being lazy, and get my act together before its too late ;<

I would not call that scary as I have seen ones that are of higher standards.

As of today, I have received:

• 1st in Mathematics Extension 1 (97%)
• 2nd in Mathematics (98%)
• 2nd in Business Studies (92%)
• 2nd in Studies of Religion I (90%)
• 2nd in English Advanced (87%)
• 3rd in Chemistry (86%)
• And expecting top rank/mark for Biology

My results have been 20% over the exams average for each subject.

I am not complaining. However, all my subject results are lower than what I aimed for, except English and Maths where my result were astronomically high in comparison to my cohort.

Nice work!! I know you work really hard so you deserve marks like that.


I got back bio the other day and I was shocked that I did so bad, I don't really like bio but its shaping up to be my worst subject, gotta start studying more!!

• English Area of Study Speech - 13/15 - pretty happy with that
• Legal Studies Assignment - 18/20 - pretty happy with that too - considering some people got 4.5 and 6. I guess we didn't 'answer the question' - such as 'evaluate' 'determine' 'assess' etc.
• Physics Class test - 34/35 - I forgot what W meant - I thought it meant Weight - but it meant Work. Funny though, on the next page it asked for the formula for W, and I got it right (W=Fs)

just got all my results back

12/15 for english (2nd in the year)
8/10 for ex english (2nd in the year)
40/41 for 2U maths (1st)
52/54 for ex maths (1st)
60/64 for legal (1st)
23/25 for software development and design (1st)
studies of religion, have not got these marks back, but im expecting
>42/45

im heaps cut about my english marks. its always been my worst subject, but if i want to get into the course i wanna do, i need to do better then that

Business
I got 9.5/10 in Employment Relations speech
89% in a SWOT Analysis in-class
then 67% for a Financial Ledger in class It was impossible to finish!!

Maths (compressed)
93% in the first test
99% in functions and graphs
88% in the Trig exam

Maths Extension
Just did my first test on circle geometry and harder prelim 2u stuff
It was impossible
If you got some good notes on that feel welcome to send some or post it on the website.

English
Yeah well a 67% and 83%. Fairly average. That's about it so far

I'm going alright, Ext English i am averaging over 90% in all tasks so far. Same with advanced english... business is easy got full for two business reports, bio i hate cos its heaps boring with my teacher so i am not going great , legal EASY havn't had nothing

Anyone else planning on taking Ext History and does ancient ?

Edit on the ranks:

• 1st in Biology (92%)

Not very satisfied since I was expecting larger gap between my mark and the second top mark.

There is no sense of achievement due to the poor "quality" of students in Biology. However, I should not complain since I came first.

2U English: 65%
Physics: (45%) - Practical test. (I want to die because of this)

I lost so many marks in physics, because i read the graph wrong, and i got the point of collison wrong, resulting in an incorrect value for time. Then my I lost marks in the graph because it was soo squished up, and i didn't bother plotting all the points when i drew my line of best fit, and I rearranged an equation wrong, and used it for half the test, and ended up loosing more marks because of that, then because i had misinterpreted the graph, i labled points on it, which were wrong, and i also forgot to put units in, so i ended up with a mark of 13.5/30. The average in my class was 13.8.

I was so happy when i got english back, i got a 12/15!! Then i walked into physics and got pwned. Physics practical had a weighting of 15% so unless I get 100% in everything else, i may not even get over 90% in the end... I really epic failed on physics.

It's not the end of the world, Foram. You can always climb back to the top as long as you keep the focus that you had prior to Physics exam. Good luck!

I got 12/15 for english!!! Sooo happy! You don't know how bad I am usually at english... I suck at it. And this mark, I was like, are you sure you're looking at the right person.

I got 12/15 for english too! i was about to take somebody elses assignment, because they had a 9 on it, but then they took it before i did, and the only one left was mine, and when i saw the mark i was estatic, i couldn't believe i didn't get a C!

but you snapped me in the physics test, how pathetic of me... Physics has to be the most dissapointing mark for me in my entire life, The only study i got was when my friend asked me questions about physics, and he showed me his notes while asking me... which was about 5 min of study before the test...

I'm going to have to fix my habbit of studying right before the test.
