Wasn't it the one when the happy guy has a domestic argument. Because he's a male, and when they argue, their testosterone level increases?

This is all I have to say:

Section 2 was torture, section 1 and 3 I believe I aced (Not too over confident but I finished every question with time to review my answers).
I also finished section 2 however I only had like a minute to check over the questions and I could see I stuffed up on a few questions (not to worry though, there's always next year).
No "preparation courses" could've prepared me for that; the difficulty of the UMAT surpasses that of any preparation materials, including the practice paper from ACER.
I can't remember shit from the examination but these reviews above are reminding me of questions I may have butchered with incorrect answers.

I agree with B!

Eh, you guys have already said why as well.
It was either that or the athletic woman who wins vs. not so athletic man who loses.
There was nothing about losing in that passage, the only vaguely close thing was the one where it said testosterone levels rise when sexually active or if the sports team wins LOL.

Arghh... reading about all these people on here scares me:

Section 1 - I guessed at least half of the questions in here, wasn't as hard as medentry, a few really odd questions types, and nice short passages.

Section 2 - omfg some of the words in that section! that one about the mum and daughter money one was just :mad1:

Section 3 - surprisingly easy, considering it's my worst section, although some of the damned pick the middle ones pissed me off. First 15 or so were good.

The only good thing I think, was I actually took "educated" guesses for most of the questions, so technically, 'finished' the paper.

yeah i knew a c and d were wrong, and b made sense.
they never said anything about men vs women in terms of testosterone so u cant compare them.

Early on in the passage, it said something like "men have ten times more testosterone than women"

On to the answer for that question though, I think you're right in saying it's B.

Argh, before the exam started there was a massive line to the toilets. LOL.
Then once I opened the door there was another line inside =.=

I went once during the exam and started sprinting down the aisle. D:
The supervisor told me off. LOL.

Omg you thought S2 was hard? I own at that one, as compared to the others. One the practice umat test, i only used half the time needed.. But then the actual umat exam S2 (understanding people) was harder than i anticipated: i used up the whole time given without inishing early. S1=totally faill; i'd even be lucky to pass that at 50%. S3 was definately easier than i expected. It was even easier than the S3 of the practice q's i bought! But then again, the practice one was so hard i skipped like half of them. In this one i only guessed around 12 questions which is better than the other one

S1: :mad1::burn:gauranteed fail &/or pass by a mark of 50% maximum
S2:not so sure of success but pretty happy
S3::mad1: unsure

I couldnt really figure out that one about couples and rates of happiness/conflict . . . that graph just confused me sooo much.
And then i dashed to get my train, and words and shapes were filling my mind, and the fake train voice said "The next train to depart from platform 3 goes to Lidcombe. Stopping at Lidcombe."
No, really?
I feel sorry for all the families waiting outside, when i walked out they all looked so worried. More than all the people sitting the test.
I didnt realise how seriously people take this test (because I'm just a lazy layabout), and started freaking out when i saw everyone with their booklets out just before hand, studying away. Bad jibes, people.
But section 3 was a sucker, and i liked section 2. I need to lift my maths and science skills, i think. I didnt do too good in trials, and i think thats what affected my results in section 1 and 3!

and i cant emphasise this enough, but questions are weighted differently. e.g. 2 ppl both getting 30/44, 30/36 and 25/30 for s,1 s2 and s3 can have a huge difference in their raw marks. and at the end, its the raw mark that counts, not how many u answered correctly. its like ur usual maths/science test. the hard questions at the end that require more working out give the most marks. while the short ones at the start with 1 line of working give little.

And i dont mean guess as in roughly picked between two/3 possible anss. MOre like *ohh krap, the guy told me to stop, better colour in the last 10qs quickly in whatever bubble*

Uhmm, there were 6 cards. Two of them were chosen by some guy. The objective of the game is to choose the most pairs successfully, and consecutively. If you dont pick a matching pair, your partner gets a turn.

Considering that the guy's got the first pair right, and the second wrong, his partner already knows what the cards (that were wrong were). So she can choose one of the other two, not knowing what it is, and then match it up. Two turns, and she wins. But there were two answers, I think A that said that she wins, and D that said, it depends what she chooses.

And I thought uhmm, the objective is to win. She should win... but I don't know.

Threw me off.

yeah i didn't have a card one either, and some of my friends had different questions to me as well.
