Man, people think all these things about insurance, but you can get away with more than you'd expect.

My grandad with hectic alzheimers, who lost his licence on a doctors recommendation ten years ago, was completely covered by insurance when he decided to put the car through the front room of his neighbours house.
intent would be an issue here though? I'm pretty sure the insurers can could tell when you threw a commie into a tree at 150 in a 70/80 zone, that you were driving dangerously?

Lol. OP = Failure at life...

150 isn't even THAT much, no. But don't go around on public roads at that speed... Suicide... Especially when inexperienced on your L's.

Auto is good for cruising and city driving. Manual just gets so goddamn annoying driving in heavy traffic.

I was in the same boat as many others. Mum had an auto car, dad had an auto car, the neighbours had an auto car... Didn't help that my family was over a thousand k's away, and that everyone who owned a manual car was too afraid to let me drive it or had to use it non-stop.

I was forced to go for my P's in the auto Falcon. Since then, mum got a pissy little Swift that's manual. 2nd lesson and I was changing confidently.

If manual seems daunting and foreign, it's not. I spent the first two years of my license driving exclusively auto and learned manual in two lessons! It can't be THAT hard!

In the words of good ol' chopper: "Harden the FUCK up, Australia!"

be more specific...

WHO
there is one policy, held under one name (in the instance that the car is registered to only one person) for one vehicle.
why would comprehensive be under your name but fire/theft under two names on the same car, when comprehensive covers everything?

comp 3rd party... u know the one u need to get it REGISTERED.. is in my name cause i OWN the car

and third party fire and theft... the optional insurance u can choose to get

as i said... its insured in both our names as its a contractual agreement of which i am not 18... so i am not sole policy holder...

That's universally referred to as CTP or a greenslip, fuck we aren't even disputing that that is in the registered owners name. It's linked to the rego. It's for injury.

it was aimed at a post which suggested that l platers cant insure their cars under their own name..

i was merely stating that i did... for my CTP and i had to share it with my dad for my TPFT insurance...

im sorry about confusing the fuck outta everyone... but yeah it seemed obvious to me lol

you're not speeding until 160 imo

130 is cruising speed, 160 is overtaking, 180 is quick

Fuck no slick tires make such a massive difference. It is hard to maintain 60 around some parts of that track otherwise.
