Correct!CD = 12
BC = 10
right?
its b..kinda ez.Correct!
Still doing that simultaneous equation one. Sorry. I almost got it!

I dun understand the question..can u do this for me plz...I suck with these linear equations >.>.Find the shortest distance between (2,5) and the line y = 2x - 3.
Multiply 19/20 buy 3, and 14/15 by 4.I dun understand the question..can u do this for me plz...I suck with these linear equations >.>.
question:
Carl was asked to add 19/20 and 14/15. Before using his calculator, Carl estimated that he answer should be close to 2.Explain how Carl could have done this by estimation.
CD = 12
BC = 10
right?
here is my working out
AB : AC = 1 : 3 so 5 : 15 so minus AB from AC and we get 10.
as AB : AC = 1 : 3...we can say that BE : BC = 1: 3..so on
iunno if iam right.
HERE, I found this... (work backwards)
A father is nine times the age of his son. In 5 years time, he will be four times the age of his son. How old are they now?
present:
father = 4*son
(father-5) = 9*(son-5)
9*father=36*son
4*(father-5) = 36*(son-5)
4*father - 20 = 36*son - 180
4*father - 20 = (9*father) - 180
160 = 5*father
father = 32
son = 8
5 years ago:
father = 27
son = 3
d = |ax1 +by1 +c|/root(a2 +b2)I dun understand the question..can u do this for me plz...I suck with these linear equations >.>.
omfg..thats some hard maths.. i dun even think thoese kind of questions will be in the Sc..Is this question from past papers?d = |ax1 +by1 +c|/root(a2 +b2)
d = |2 * 2 -1 * 5 -3|/root(22 + (-1)2)
d = |-4|/root(5)
d = 4 root(5)/5
Here you are:9*father=36*son
4*(father-5) = 36*(son-5)
how did u think of 9 and 36?...like did u go wats *4 = 36?
Nah, it's a 2U/3U HSC question. I just asked it to sound smartomfg..thats some hard maths.. i dun even think thoese kind of questions will be in the Sc..Is this question from past papers?
1.8/0.03 = 180/3 = 60guys can anyne help me find the answer of 1.8/0.03 ( without using a calculator)???
lolz funny kient.Nah, it's a 2U/3U HSC question. I just asked it to sound smart
have any idea how he got his first step frm?Here you are:
A father is nine times the age of his son. In 5 years time, he will be four times the age of his son....? - Yahoo! Answers
