Re: Laptop

Nothing wrong with notebook computers. Netbooks are fine too. I have an Acer Aspire One notebook. It has a nice 8.9" screen. It's the perfect size; so small and compact that it won't kill my shoulders when I carry it in my messenger bag.

Re: Laptop

What do you need it for? If you're doing something like design computing, you'd probably need to spend a bit more than if you only needed it for typing text...

Re: Laptop

I would highly recommend you to get those mini-laptops. They cost approx 400-600..

Its small compact, and really nice. It allows you to acces the net, microsoft office etc.... You wont be able to play games on it, but its really good.... Im thinkin about gettin one of them. Its the same size as your average books.

Mate, do a search. This topic (gosh i've only been on this site for a week) has been discussed to death! and then dug up, and discussed again!

All that you ever need to know, just SEARCH!

I have my laptop at uni, if that helps (so technically no, I don't take my laptop to uni everyday).

Re: lAPTOP

If any admins or mods read this, any chance of putting this topic on a sticky? then maybe we don't have to say "search it!" every day!

Just a thought

Re: laptops at uni?

both, you don't have to have a laptop, it's just a bit easier considering how cramp it will be in lecture halls

50/50..maybe books still have a slight majority. I prefer the good fashion book, it's light and I don't want my writing skills to go rusty...and i m cheap.
