Yes, you can. There is plenty of room in the library to study by yourself.

There's a "quiet study room" next to the River Room where there are separated desks and people just do their own thing I guess.

Whenever I plan to hang out with my friends, I always get there 30 minutes - 1 hour before everyone else anyway Sorry for the confusion!
