Very difficult to say because the competition for a Band 6 in 2U Maths is so high, you essentially need a raw mark of ~90 to get it.

No 96/120 on average for the previous format so i would assume it would be about 80/100 in this new format. Right?

I am raising the bar a little for a few reasons.

1. Less total marks so the mark spread is reduced ie: higher concentration of Band 6.

2. Less total marks also means a slightly easier exam. Not in terms of difficulty, but I'm talking about the volume of questions.

3. Multiple choice will provide easy marks/lucky marks (guessing), raising the average even more.

No such thing as 'guarantee-ing' your position as Band 6 because we can't predict the performance of your cohort, or even the State.

Raw means if I marked your external paper without any further adjustments, then I would see ~90% on the front page.

Kinda, but you have to realise that since it is easier, you will have to perform a little better due to increased competition.

My 2u trial seemed to be harder than past ones that were out of 120 tbh.

I only finished with 5 minutes to go, which was really making me nervous during the exam lol. Not used to that.

Yeah my trial was way harder than any previous past papers I had done imho. It seems like due to the multiple choice, all the rest of the questions were Q6 upwards.

Same, I skipped so many questions too, if I did them I wouldn't have enough time. And time is never an issue for me.

if you take into account multiple choice, many of these questions would be 2-3 markers EACH so whilst it benefits those guessing, it does take some time to solve... (speaking on the basis of 3/4 unit multiple choice, i dno about 2u)
