I just graduated high school and I really need to change my units of study. I am planning to do bachelor of economics. Please help.

I cant find an option at the sydney portal.

go to usyd my uni. And then there should be a logo on the left called "admin" and you will have options for enrollment variations there.

Under enrollment variations, you can add and subtract units of study. Just be aware that people have had trouble with subtracting units of study under some browsers. Most seem to find firefox or safari work.

Provided there's no prerequisite, it's fine.

You can do it in 2nd semester, provided that you fulfill the prerequisites in 1st sem

I really need to know if I am able to do corporate finance (1) FINC2011 as a first year first student in first semester.

I want to know if there are pre requisites for it. The information I know is that
it is a senior unit of study and it has "assumed knowledge" (which confuses me)

As I've stated before, there is no pre-req for this unit.

If a unit states there is assumed knowledge, this is essentially saying the unit contains at least some content which was taught in previous units.

It's a general recommendation that you complete those units because they don't go over basic content.

That being said, there's no administrative restriction stopping a student from enrolling in that unit.

youd be better off doing it after the preq's. just do it 2nd semester after doing econ 1001 and econ 1002 in sem 1, if youre that keen

For anyone who has done FINC2011, could you please tell me if you think doing the Assumed Knowledge subjects actually helped for this course?? Cause I am also considering doing FINC2011 at the same time as the assumed knowledge subjects

doubt you'll have problems passing finc without having done stats + micro.

working with beta (the one related to correlation) might be mind boggling at first though.

Hmmm it is worth taking the risk though? I need a D average for Law transfer, so with this in mind, would I be better off choosing an easier subject in which I can do well?

THEY ARE "SENIOR UNITS OF STUDY"

but is it still possible because I have formulated my timetable including those.
