Same here, I specifically mentioned the missing sugar and phosphate missing + helix shape.
omg haha do you think it'll be okay if i just wrote missing deoxyribose sugar and phosphate as alternate backbones of the strand? uh i kinda treated those two as different structures :/

Yeah I think they'll count it as two, hopefully!

Love how test had no graphs needing to be drawn or scientists, so good.

I put bacteria too since I know that's the only one without a nucleus and membrane bound organelles. And it didn't show a nucleus.
Q. said it only showed SOME features so I think that the RBC was the only clue as to whether it was bacterial or fungal.

So many trick Q.

the recombination is how often a result appears that technically shouldn't occur, these were the two containing three. So the working is 3+3 divided by the total of 60, times by 100 which gives you 10

its actually fungi not bacteria, because bacteria is much smaller than RBCs

ikr, hence why I found MC quite hard as I'm so uncertain about a lot of my answers lol

Yes! WE DID IT!!!!

Im so thankful to whoever said that contrast question of phloem and arteries. I would not have got that if i hadn't seen it yesterday. I smashed that question :)

The 8 marker was SOOO NICE...pretty much based off a question we did in the marathon as well.

Multiple choice I'm dissapointed with...i think i got 18/20. All past multiple choice rom 2007 to 2014 i got full marks so its a bit of a let down but oh well.

Pulse oximetry question --> the last part sorta screwed me over, only expecting 2/4.

So pissed i didn't finish the EASY communication 7 marker (my hand was tingling and hurting and i couldn't write that fast throughout exam), had to cut it short, so probably only 4/7 for that.

Rest of communication was sinch --> lucky they didn't have anything major on the brain. Was a bit surprised there were no practicals for communication but w/e.

Hoping for a raw 90% but i reckon the marking guidines are gonna be really strict because it was an easy exam, so maybe around 85 raw and like 88 aligned. Which isn't too bad but i really wanted that band 6. Would have preffered a harder exam

For section two - i said there was a change in the environment on the island which leads to a different characteristic more fit for survival. Since didnt completely go down and population stabalised i said the majority of the island changed but some of the island remained the same.
