They did an extract for mod A last year so unlikely they'll do it for the same module two years in a row

ngl mod c you just kinda wing it in my experience. If you try to fit a predetermined 'idea' into the context of something vastly different, you will come across as fake, and it will be very obvious that you're trying to recycle previous work.

metafiction; can be adapted to different forms and importantly, fits the essence of the module as 'craft of writing' so almost every question has an entry point for this type of writing.

maybe, maybe not since NESA apparently does not follow a pattern lol. But its likely they will give an extract if they specify poems. If not, ig its better to be prepared for all poems

How do you answer the questions which have an extract provided?

Do you take some quotes from it and show how it highlights a particular theme, or do you just say it generally? What's the best way?
I think generally you're supposed to show how the quote is representative of broader literary forms and features throughout the text, and extend a more detailed analysis of the kind of 'theme' it associates to.

edit: don't talk explicitly 'the quote is representative of...' just make the extract present throughout your analysis and that is strong enough

I agree being prepared for all poems isn't a bad thing, but if they asked a specific poem without providing the extract it would be an unfair disadvantage in comparison who only did on text for mod B, so it's unlikely they'll do that
