NAH THAT SUCKKSSSS
last term I had repetitive strain injury to both my wrists because of music so I can definitely relate, although luckily I don't do many essay subjects (STEM kid here)
I emailed the provisions people at my school and they allowed me to wear a compression sock/tubular bandage for my exams for one term, but said if the issues persisted I would have to formally apply through NESA
I really recommend tubular bandages - some people in my school wear wrist braces but my wrists are too skinny for those to be of use, tubular bandages/compression socks feel amazing
I also went to my GP and got anti-inflammatory tablets and painkillers prescribed just in case I wanted to take them before an exam
and my best bit of advice...
rest!! (if its not in the middle of an exam of course)
after my exam block I didn't do much fast writing and if I felt pain I immediately stopped, now I rarely get pain <3
I wish you a very speedy recovery !!
Edit: never tried gel wrist pads, plz tell if they're good
