It rlly depends on the story you’re doing and tbh it’s unlikely if u get an extract or stimulus. like for me I'm doing mrs Dalloway and the hours and all the previous extracts have been about women so yeah its possible.

Once they separated the questions for each text where they gave us extracts from it but thats the only time it was specific. I'm really worried now im ngl because they can always surprise us yk. But theres also the fact that they could only really ask for the rubric rather than a set theme. Im not sure, maybe im overthinking

Yeah but our texts has a major theme of power and how thats obtained, the role of women isnt huge but its still something thats mentioned

I don't understand this personally...but it is true that there appear to be texts 'geared' towards standard and texts for advanced (e.g. your shakespeare, your 1984 - like no school worth their salt would make their standard cohort do shakespeare when a lot of them picked standard to get away from it)

at my skl the std classes did vertigo and advanced classes split like some classes did 1984 and some did crucible soo i didnt know that Advanced could have done vertigo lollllss although id hate to do it tbh #1984ontopp
