i am (unfortunately) a cafs enjoyer but oh my god i am HATING doing this irp!!!! 😍 because of the way my school does hsc w/ compressed curriculum and stuff, i turned in my ext eng irp in at the start of may to finish the prelim course, did my exams, was like “oh my god i’m free”…. first day...

they moved the due date for my cafs irp forward it is a wonderful day to be alive! (although it was funny being students who were obviously putting it off scrambling to get it started i will admit)

guys my test is tomorrow and all i've done is browse over my notes once i'm so cooked (it's a one period prac task with a writing section i am praying on my yapping skills to carry me through)

goal for this week: get my cafs irp done so i'm not doing it the night it's due 🙏 🙏 🙏 (also study for my investigating science test probs but i can wing that easy)

life hacks with rosieohposie: if in year 11 you don't finish all your essays in exams and leave questions unanswered, then when you start finishing your exams entirely with full essays you will look so much more impressive!!!!!! (source: my experience. do not try at home if grades are important...

actually if you get the secret super band 7 they tell you your atar in september before the hsc exams even start!!!!!!!!!!!!! (this is 100% real. my friend told me. trust)

alright whoever at my school organised the timetable so that i am in cafs by default, i have it out for you, i am not thriving doing this irp rn.

honestly this is so valid, compressed curriculum can get so stressful just with the time crunch

in theory yes, reality no, but that's just like. teenager stuff hahaha

i have no idea how this system would work at a larger school tbh... the biggest reason it works at mine is because the year 11/12 cohorts are both tiny and can be easily mixed and still be smaller in size than most mainstream schools, fitting like 200 students into an exam hall sounds like hell

it's nice around exam periods but it's definitely a grind sometimes, like missing one day at my school is basically equal to missing two mainstream which can add up really quick

compressed curriculum hsc involves doing 3 subjects in year 11, doing the whole prelim/hsc course incl. hsc exams, then rinse and repeat in year 12!!!

i’m not doing an accelerated hsc so i’m probably not the right person to talk to about it!! i’m doing a compressed curriculum hsc which is it’s own beast haha - but i do agree with your point about learning about new ways of taking the hsc on here, i do think it’s pretty neat there are different...
