Will i continue to 2nd year when transferring from one engineering degree to another?

Re: Will i continue to 2nd year when transferring from one engineering degree to anot Yeah, it all depends on the subjects you have done. Half of the subjects in your first year are engineering core anyway, and there's also the intro C subject which a few others majors do. If for some reason...

Lol, do that as a last resort. I'd probably even recommend talking to the student centre first. People will likely change subjects, shuffle classes around etc. as the semester approaches. If it's a lecture, it likely doesn't even matter which one you are officially registered in.

    Very confused by enrolement

Only enrol in the first year subjects. Including Spring so you can secure a good timetable - you can change subjects, classes etc. before then but it's nice to get the good times asap. Some of the subjects you are showing errors for (e.g. Capstone) are meant to be done at the very end, so you...

Bachelor of IT at UTS or Macquarie?

The Bachelor of IT at UTS is a highly competitive co-op scholarship, the equivalent to Macquarie's Bachelor of IT at UTS would likely be the Bachelor of Science in IT. Are you comparing the BIT at MQ and the BScIT at UTS?

I think it's supposed to be 12 + a week 0 "Orientation Week" where they can set preparation tasks, but I think we end up losing one of those to public holidays anyway.

Lol, when I was doing a first sem accounting subject a few years ago a lot of people were getting confused about how to calculate the marks they needed to pass the subject o.O

Interesting, you can have phones in your bag (turned off) at UTS but they always made us take off wrist watches and in the lead up to the Apple Watch they explicitly banned smart watches (/consider them same as phones) and mention them on all the material haha. I've heard a few people's phones...

So what did you do with phones and watches prior to that change?

Help with elective subjects for finance major

Yeah, I don't know - I can't see it on any lists now. But it was definitely there when I picked it and it comes up under the finance electives section on my study plan.

Help with elective subjects for finance major

Yeah, I'd be interested to know as well. I'll probably be doing Ethics in Finance next year and have heard it's easy too. The only finance elective i've taken was Economics 2, but i'm not sure if that is still offered as a finance elective or if it's only offered for combined courses.

I don't know much about interaction design, I guess it's basically a UX major?

    Computer Science

The subject list is already up, it does have a lot of theoretical subjects so I would consider it an equivalent to the CompSci courses at other universities which the BScIT course never was. UTS do recommend it mostly for people that want to go into research or more scientific jobs, but that is...

Lol, fair enough. The 2/3 degree mark thing wouldn't count for internal transfers, right? Yeah, it's probably not worth it yet if your main reason for considering UTS was trimesters. This year they had almost nothing (same amount as prior to "trimesters") and there's a lot more this year but...

Not sure for options, you can get a more detailed study plain via My Student Admin though. Networking essentials is pretty content heavy, I did Networking Fundamentals which I think is similar and there was a lot to cover before the exam. It wasn't really hard, but just felt like a lot of...

Why only 3 subjects? Unless they are 8cp (law?) I think most courses have 4 each semester in the planners. The weekly classes aren't the problem, if you are overloading or working a lot the hard part is always that at some points in the semester most of your subjects will have assessments...

What are the prereq chains like for law? How long can you defer the decision haha?
  18. brent012

Unethical idea I have, is this allowed?

Usually assessments get rotated or changed each semester, so you really wouldn't gain much out of this - and usually the majority of the details only come out later in the semester.

Yeah, it shows your academic history at the university - so previous subjects, marks, GPA, any failed subjects etc.
