YR12 Physics + Chem Tuition - HSC 2018/19 -Parramatta - HSC Marker- 10 Years Teaching

No offence but why would you ask? No one cares about HSC results once you complete your HSC (unless you tutor). He's done his HSC 15 years ago and has been tutoring for a number of years so he's clearly more knowledgeable now than he was back then. If you're considering tutoring then yeah ask...

Am I Kidding Myself By Doing These Subjects?

If you have the right study technique for each subject (and you enjoy them all) then you can still get a high ATAR Consider the fact that English is already time consuming (for most students) where you have to edit and re-edit your essays continuously Maths (Ext) can also take up a...

    How to effectively use textbooks

I find that textbooks are good for self study/getting introduced to a new idea (in terms of learning) You should be using them in the school holidays as opposed to the school term (so you can focus on past papers)

They're just as expensive (if not more expensive)

    Writing vs Typing notes

Do both First make your notes super detailed by typing them out After get rid of the useless info you dont need by doing pen to paper (until you nailed everything 100%)

    Should I repeat year 12?

true better getting some bonus points than none If you are desperate to catch up in uni you can "overload" or take trisemesters/summer classes and hopefully you'll be at the same pace as your peers (but you will need a HD wam to show that you are capable of doing so)

    Chemistry Questions - Help

I don't mean to come off as hypocritical in any way but how do you know this if you don't do chem? or do you just research it?

    2018ers Preliminary Chit Chat Thread

I feel you can cram content heavy subjects however this is a risky technique (imo) Get a bunch of notes, go through them, summarise the stuff on a sheet of paper (and teach yourself at the same time), keep doing it until you think you know everything and then do past papers You can also do...

    Should I repeat year 12?

No It's an absolute waste of time Once you get to uni, no one cares about the HSC any longer In your case you could apply for EAS (bonus points)

    Identity Area of Study

I haven't studied this before but you would obviously need to do something regarding identity If you look at your prescribed text, you should look for the aspects of "identity" and then make sure they are similar to your related You could try and do something like Looking for Alibrandi? Does...

    Schools ditching Physics

Yeah No one is interested in rote memorising history bs Although it is significantly more difficult than the current syllabus due to the higher emphasis on scientific concepts, theory and mathematical calculations as opposed to the current syllabus
  14. J

    Schools ditching Physics

The new syllabus is preparing you for uni as opposed to the old syllabus which requires endless rote memorisation If you're the type of person who hates memorising but loves mathematical calculations, conceptual understanding and physics practicality (i.e. experiments) then the new curriculum...

how the hell are you meant to write a light hearted creative in the hsc

Your creative is really sensitive to those who read it and if you showed this to your school teacher, they'd refer you to a school counciller

How much do internals really affect your ATAR?

Although HSC internals are 50% of your total HSC, I think that most of your HSC marks comes from externals (at least 75%) mainly because for internals everyone fights for ranks and for externals everyone works together do then the whole cohort is boosted If u came last in English for internals...

How many N awards to get kicked out of Year 12?

ok but even if that is the case, do u think principals are really going to start expelling students from each school just coz they did shit in trials? trials isn't the end of the hsc, it's the end of the internals (but some schools may make you do extra assessments afterwards) but there's the...

How many N awards to get kicked out of Year 12?

I don't think they can do that The worst they could do in year 12 is simply not award you with a HSC which will affect entrance to uni? (from memory)
